Nokia Netbook : Nokia Booklet 3G

Over the years, new Nokia phones have come and gone, but one nagging question has always haunted the curiosity of gadget lovers around the world - when the heck is Nokia going to launch their own fully fledged netbook?

Just days ago, that question was answered, and a chorus of cheers resonated the airwaves to welcome the brand new Nokia Booklet 3G.

Powered by an Intel Atom processor (what a surprise), the Nokia Booklet 3G promises a whopping 12 hour battery life, a sexy ultra-portable aluminum chassis that measures a measly two centimeters and weighs a paltry 1.25kgs, and comes packed with 3G/HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Story continues after the jump.

Besides the above mentioned specifications, the Nokia Booklet 3G also comes ladened with a plethora of premium features for a netbook such as a HDMI port for HD output, a front facing camera for video calling, a 10-inch glass display, and an integrated A-GPS chip that will work with preloaded software like Ovi Maps.

“A growing number of people want the computing power of a PC with the full benefits of mobility. We are in the business of connecting people and the Nokia Booklet 3G is a natural evolution for us. Nokia has a long and rich heritage in mobility and with the outstanding battery life, premium design and all day, always on connectivity, we will create something quite compelling. In doing so we will make the personal computer more social, more helpful and more personal.” -- Kai Oistamo, Nokia’s Executive Vice President for Devices

At this current time, no further information on the Nokia Booklet 3G is available officially. We do however know that detailed specifications, market availability and pricing will be announced at the Nokia World event on 2 September so keep your eyes peeled!
