Jean and I met, while working together at Molex. When I first met her, I thought she was very charming and someone that I would like to get to know. But for some reason I had never have chance to talk to her and knowing more about her. After being her colleague for almost one year, I finally got a chance to go out with her but with a group of friend (too bad), but it is a good beginning. The only thing that I need is the right timing and the courage to tell her how I feel about her. I still remember on October 30 2004, the moment that I being waiting for finally came, I walk to her and told her that I want to be her boyfriend, although she never gave me the ‘yes’ answer but I knew she felt the same like I do. That’s how my love story begins and now she became my wife. Although we both have been thru hurtful relationships, and suffered great pain, but we never give up on each other. We promised each other that we would never hurt or cause heartbreak, but would both try to work it out thru communication for there are many ways to communicate. Realizing that life is very short and unpredictable so that it is extremely important to express your love for each other while you dwell in the short "window of time" that is granted to you being together. The Terry Fox Run KL 2008 invites everyone and anyone to run, walk, skate or cycle to support cancer research at the Run.
The Run is a non-competitive event; a social occasion where people of all ages come together as individuals, families and groups to raise money to be used for cancer awareness and research. Since it began in 1983, the Terry Fox Run has become the largest, single day, fund-raising event of its kind, with participants around the world taking part to contribute to the cause, along with their colleagues, family and friends.
In Malaysia, the Terry Fox Run KL has attracted thousands of Malaysians from all walks of life; it is one of the largest Runs in the world, with over 9,000 runners in 2007. The KL Run is an inspiring and remarkable example of support and solidarity from Malaysians who have made a personal commitment to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
The Run is named after Terry Fox, a Canadian who was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 18. As a result, his right leg was amputated above the knee. Whilst in hospital, Terry was moved by the suffering of cancer patients, especially children afflicted by this deadliest of diseases. He was so moved that he resolved to run across Canada, a distance of 8,500 kilometers, to raise money for cancer research in what was to become the “Marathon of Hope”.

Call for Participants
In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the World Human Rights Day falls on December 9th, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation Alumni Network (FAN) Malaysia is celebrating the day with an upcoming exhibition and a photography contest with the theme of ‘Freedom'. FAN Malaysia realizes the needs to advocate public awareness on the meanings of Freedom through photo exhibition and to enlist the public support the cause of Freedom. It also hopes that the contest and the exhibition will help to raise public awareness on the meaning of freedom in a broader context.
FAN Malaysia recognises the importance for the society irrespective of age, background and race to come together to observe the World Human Rights Day together.
Interested participants can submit their photos between October 15th and November 15th, 2008. Photos received by the organiser will be displayed at the exhibition and to be sold.
The exhibition will take place between December 1 and 7, 2008 at the Galeri Pelita Hati, No 22 Jalan Abdullah, off Jalan Bangsar, 59000 Kuala Lumpur.
Apart from the exhibition, the organiser has also prepared a few other programmes including the reading of freedom poets, performance from independent artists Meor and Black, presentation from Wong Hoy Cheong and installation of arts.
The exhibition will be officially closed by the Deputy Information Minister, YB Tan Lian Hoe on December 7, 2008, where the winners for the contest will also be announced at the same event.
