Multi ministry camera ban frustrates artists by Kuwait TIMES
KUWAIT: After the ban three ministries placed on photography, most Kuwaiti youth are a bit confused about what to do with their cameras if they can't use them in public and why such laws were implemented in the first place. The Ministry of Information, Ministry of Social Affairs and Ministry of Finance recently came to the conclusion that photography should be used for journalism purposes only. This has resulted in the ban of Digital Single Lens Reflex Cameras (DSLRs) in public, on the streets and in malls

What most Kuwaiti photographers have come to wonder is how such a decision could be reached by authorities, especially considering that digital cameras and cell phone cameras have the same abilities. What most people think of photography as a hobby has become a bit misguided due to the fact that the country has so little exposure to art. While using a DSLR, passersby may wonder if the camera is being used for the wrong reasons.
Mohammed Al-Eisa, who picked up photography as a hobby more than 10 years ago, said that he has decided to take photos of animals or still life due to the fact that these subjects don't mind having their picture taken and don't make a scene. "I started facing problems the very first day I bought my camera," Mohammed added.
What often happens is that a big black camera tends to worry people. Taking a picture of a stranger would seem like much less of an issue if you were using a more discreet camera or even a cell phone. Mariam Al-Fodiry said that she has faced similar problems with her hobby and that being a girl doesn't help at all. She said that in some cases it makes the problem even worse. "Switching to abstract and landscape photography was one the options I considered after getting into enough trouble," Mariam said.
Majed Al-Saqer said that sometimes people stop him while he is in his car with his camera, as if he were planning to kill someone with it. He said that he isn't sure what the real problem is, whether it is people taking photos of each other or the size of the camera.

THE WALKING DEAD TRAILER
The Walking Dead is a monthly black-and-white American comic book series published by Image Comics beginning in 2003. The comic was created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Tony Moore, who was replaced by Charlie Adlard from issue #7 onward,although Moore continued to do the covers through issue #24.
The story chronicles the travels of a group of people trying to survive in a world stricken by a zombie apocalypse. The series won the 2010 Eisner Award for Best Continuing Series at San Diego Comic-Con International. Bruce Lee My Brother - Official Movie Trailer
A biopic about late action star Bruce Lee launched the production with a press conference in Hong Kong.
Aarif Lee, winner of Best Newcomer at this year's Hong Kong Film Awards, will take on the role of the young Bruce Lee.
"Bruce Lee, My Brother's Story," will focus on the kung-fu legend's life-story before he became a star. The film is co-produced by Lee's younger brother, Robert Lee and Manfred Wong Man-Chun. Yip Wai-man, the assistant director of "Bodyguards and Assassins," will direct the film. Besides Aarif Lee, the film features newcomers Jennifer Tse Ting Ting and Gong Mi.
The press conference was held beside Bruce Lee's sculpture located on the Avenue of Stars by the city's Victoria Harbour.
The film is set for release in late November 2010 to mark the 70th anniversary of Bruce Lee's birth on November 27, 1940. Filming is set to begin this month.

Selina Ren is a member of Taiwan’s pop group S.H.E continued blaze during the shooting of a blast scene for a new TV stage show series in Shanghai, China. The ill-fated incident happened when Selina Jen and Yu Hao Mingwere filming a scene for their new TV series “I Have a Date with Spring” on last Friday, 22nd October, 2010, afternoon and at that time explosives turn on sooner than projected. When the mishap took place, the gallant Yu instantaneously threw himself over Selina that caused him to suffer injury more solemn than Selina’s.
Updates 2AM 25 October 2010 : Selina reached Taiwan safely just last night 11PM and was transferred to Chang Gung Hospital 长庚医院 for further medical treatment.
Updates 3PM 23 October 2010 : Selina suffered third degree burns and need to undergo skin grafting treatment/operation where her hands, legs and back were injured.
Selina of SHE from Taiwan was reported being sent to ER – Ruijin Hospital 瑞金医院 at around 6PM yesterday 22nd October 2010 due to an accident that happened during the filming of an explosion scene in a series 我和春天有个约会 which was filmed in Shanghai.
Rumors suggested that she sufferend 35%-50% of burn injuries and there isn’t any reply from the officials on that. The officials just thanked the public for the concerns and said that her family members are with her at the moment.
